2023-03-04Userland: Use Font::pixel_size_rounded_up() instead of glyph_height()Andreas Kling
The only remaining clients of this API are specific to bitmap fonts and editing thereof.
2023-02-13LibCore: Remove `Stream.h`Tim Schumacher
2023-02-13LibCore: Move Stream-based file into the `Core` namespaceTim Schumacher
2023-02-13LibCore: Rename `File` to `DeprecatedFile`Tim Schumacher
As usual, this removes many unused includes and moves used includes further down the chain.
2023-01-26LibGfx: Remove `try_` prefix from bitmap creation functionsTim Schumacher
Those don't have any non-try counterpart, so we might as well just omit it.
2022-12-23HackStudio: Open projects after the action tab was createdKarol Kosek
This change also removes the path argument from the GitWidget constructor because otherwise, the app wouldn't work now, as it doesn't yet know the project path. But it'll be set right away in open_project(), so nothing's lost. :^)
2022-12-20HackStudio: Port to `Core::Stream::File` :^)Karol Kosek
2022-12-06Everywhere: Rename to_{string => deprecated_string}() where applicableLinus Groh
This will make it easier to support both string types at the same time while we convert code, and tracking down remaining uses. One big exception is Value::to_string() in LibJS, where the name is dictated by the ToString AO.
2022-12-06AK+Everywhere: Rename String to DeprecatedStringLinus Groh
We have a new, improved string type coming up in AK (OOM aware, no null state), and while it's going to use UTF-8, the name UTF8String is a mouthful - so let's free up the String name by renaming the existing class. Making the old one have an annoying name will hopefully also help with quick adoption :^)
2022-07-12Everywhere: Add sv suffix to strings relying on StringView(char const*)sin-ack
Each of these strings would previously rely on StringView's char const* constructor overload, which would call __builtin_strlen on the string. Since we now have operator ""sv, we can replace these with much simpler versions. This opens the door to being able to remove StringView(char const*). No functional changes.
2022-05-13LibGUI+Userland: Make Dialog::ExecResult an enum classSam Atkins
2022-04-09LibGfx: Move other font-related files to LibGfx/Font/Simon Wanner
2022-04-01Everywhere: Run clang-formatIdan Horowitz
2022-03-27Everywhere: Rename CommandResult stdout, stderr members to output, errorBrian Gianforcaro
The names stdout / stderr are bound to conflict with existing declarations when compiling against other LibC's. The build on OpenBSD is broken for this reason at the moment. Lets rename the members to more generic names to resolve the situation.
2022-03-04LibGfx: Rename Color::from_rgba() => Color::from_argb()Andreas Kling
This matches the rename of RGBA32 to ARGB32. It also makes more sense when you see it used with 32-bit hexadecimal literals: Before: Color::from_rgba(0xaarrggbb) After: Color::from_argb(0xaarrggbb)
2022-02-16DevTools: Use default constructors/destructorsLenny Maiorani
https://isocpp.github.io/CppCoreGuidelines/CppCoreGuidelines#cother-other-default-operation-rules "The compiler is more likely to get the default semantics right and you cannot implement these functions better than the compiler."
2022-01-12LibCore: Make Core::command return CommandResult structItamar
Previously, Core::command only returned a String which contained the data from stdout. The CommandResult struct contains the exit code as well as the data from stdout and stderr.
2022-01-01HackStudio: Use String instead of LexicalPathConor Byrne
LexicalPath is a 'heavier' object than a String that is mainly used for path parsing and validation, we don't actually need any of that in GitRepo and its related files, so let's move to String :^) I've also done some east-const conversion in the files that I was editing for the string change.
2022-01-01HackStudio: Add new multiline commit dialogConor Byrne
This new commit dialog features multi-line input and a line and column indicator. A great improvement over the last one, if you ask me! :^)
2021-12-31HackStudio: Fix crash when clicking unstaged filesConor Byrne
In certain cases, an index might be invalid in the unstaged files view. We must check if this index is valid before attempting to read the index's data.
2021-12-11Everywhere: Fix -Winconsistent-missing-override warnings from ClangDaniel Bertalan
This option is already enabled when building Lagom, so let's enable it for the main build too. We will no longer be surprised by Lagom Clang CI builds failing while everything compiles locally. Furthermore, the stronger `-Wsuggest-override` warning is enabled in this commit, which enforces the use of the `override` keyword in all classes, not just those which already have some methods marked as `override`. This works with both GCC and Clang.
2021-11-08LibGfx: Use ErrorOr<T> for Bitmap::try_load_from_file()Andreas Kling
This was used in a lot of places, so this patch makes liberal use of ErrorOr<T>::release_value_but_fixme_should_propagate_errors().
2021-10-27Everywhere: Rename left/right-click to primary/secondaryFiliph Sandström
This resolves #10641.
2021-08-22HackStudio: Fix GitWidget issues with switching between projectsLennon Donaghy
GitWidget no longer crashes upon trying to create a repository for a new project, and it correctly updates after opening a different project. A new method, change_repo, has been added to make this work, which changes m_repo_root and resets most of the widget's state in order to make this work.
2021-08-06Everywhere: Replace Model::update() with Model::invalidate()sin-ack
Most of the models were just calling did_update anyway, which is pointless since it can be unified to the base Model class. Instead, code calling update() will now call invalidate(), which functions identically and is more obvious in what it does. Additionally, a default implementation is provided, which removes the need to add empty implementations of update() for each model subclass. Co-Authored-By: Ali Mohammad Pur <ali.mpfard@gmail.com>
2021-08-01DevTools: Remove unused header includesBrian Gianforcaro
2021-07-21LibGfx: Use "try_" prefix for static factory functionsAndreas Kling
Also mark them as [[nodiscard]].
2021-06-12AK: Rename Vector::append(Vector) => Vector::extend(Vector)Andreas Kling
Let's make it a bit more clear when we're appending the elements from one vector to the end of another vector.
2021-05-26LibGUI/AbstractView: Remove `on_selection`Jelle Raaijmakers
Since the introduction of multi-select, we have had both `on_selection` and `on_selection_change`, the latter of which was only invoked when a change in selection came in through the model. This removes `AbstractView::on_selection` and replaces it usage with the more explicit `on_selection_change` everywhere.
2021-05-21Userland: Change typedef to using directiveLenny Maiorani
Problem: - `typedef`s are read backwards making it confusing. - `using` statements can be used in template aliases. - `using` provides similarity to most other C++ syntax. - C++ core guidelines say to prefer `using` over `typedef`: https://isocpp.github.io/CppCoreGuidelines/CppCoreGuidelines#Rt-using Solution: - Switch these where appropriate.
2021-05-12LibCore+Everywhere: Move OpenMode out of IODeviceAli Mohammad Pur
...and make it an enum class so people don't omit "OpenMode".
2021-05-03LibGUI: Rename ScrollableWidget => AbstractScrollableWidgetAndreas Kling
2021-05-01Everywhere: Turn #if *_DEBUG into dbgln_if/if constexprGunnar Beutner
2021-04-23AK: Rename adopt() to adopt_ref()Andreas Kling
This makes it more symmetrical with adopt_own() (which is used to create a NonnullOwnPtr from the result of a naked new.)
2021-04-22Everything: Move to SPDX license identifiers in all files.Brian Gianforcaro
SPDX License Identifiers are a more compact / standardized way of representing file license information. See: https://spdx.dev/resources/use/#identifiers This was done with the `ambr` search and replace tool. ambr --no-parent-ignore --key-from-file --rep-from-file key.txt rep.txt *
2021-04-13Everywhere: It's now "Foobar", not "FooBar", and not "foo bar"Andreas Kling
I hereby declare these to be full nouns that we don't split, neither by space, nor by underscore: - Breadcrumbbar - Coolbar - Menubar - Progressbar - Scrollbar - Statusbar - Taskbar - Toolbar This patch makes everything consistent by replacing every other variant of these with the proper one. :^)
2021-03-12Everywhere: Remove klog(), dbg() and purge all LogStream usage :^)Andreas Kling
Good-bye LogStream. Long live AK::Format!
2021-02-23Everywhere: Rename ASSERT => VERIFYAndreas Kling
(...and ASSERT_NOT_REACHED => VERIFY_NOT_REACHED) Since all of these checks are done in release builds as well, let's rename them to VERIFY to prevent confusion, as everyone is used to assertions being compiled out in release. We can introduce a new ASSERT macro that is specifically for debug checks, but I'm doing this wholesale conversion first since we've accumulated thousands of these already, and it's not immediately obvious which ones are suitable for ASSERT.
2021-02-20LibGUI: Swap order of InputBox value and parent window argsLinus Groh
This is now consistent with the other dialog classes.
2021-01-25Everywhere: Hook up remaining debug macros to Debug.h.asynts
2021-01-25Everywhere: Remove unnecessary debug comments.asynts
It would be tempting to uncomment these statements, but that won't work with the new changes. This was done with the following commands: find . \( -name '*.cpp' -o -name '*.h' -o -name '*.in' \) -not -path './Toolchain/*' -not -path './Build/*' -exec awk -i inplace '$0 !~ /\/\/#define/ { if (!toggle) { print; } else { toggle = !toggle } } ; $0 ~/\/\/#define/ { toggle = 1 }' {} \; find . \( -name '*.cpp' -o -name '*.h' -o -name '*.in' \) -not -path './Toolchain/*' -not -path './Build/*' -exec awk -i inplace '$0 !~ /\/\/ #define/ { if (!toggle) { print; } else { toggle = !toggle } } ; $0 ~/\/\/ #define/ { toggle = 1 }' {} \;
2021-01-12DevTools: Move to Userland/DevTools/Andreas Kling
