This closes #2685, and brings some much needed nostalgia :^)
|
|
This will let the WindowManager choose the location of the window
|
|
Since the vast majority of message boxes should be modal, require
the parent window to be passed in, which can be nullptr for the
rare case that they don't. By it being the first argument, the
default arguments also don't need to be explicitly stated in most
cases, and it encourages passing in a parent window handle.
Fix up several message boxes that should have been modal.

Links which do not have the "file" protocol (most commonly links to
external websites - http and https) are now not treated as file paths
anymore but instead handled by Desktop::Launcher.
The same applies to files outside of /usr/share/man.
Fixes #2727.

Much more satisfying!

This adds a new 32x32 Help application icon, a new open book icon,
copies the current book icon as Help's 16x16 icon, and updates
the Help application file to reflect these changes.

We have all the context needed for relative URL resolution inside the
engine, so let's not make embedders worry about this.

During app teardown, the Application object may be destroyed before
something else, and so having Application::the() return a reference was
obscuring the truth about its lifetime.
This patch makes the API more honest by returning a pointer. While
this makes call sites look a bit more sketchy, do note that the global
Application pointer only becomes null during app teardown.
|
|
Having this on the stack makes whole-program teardown iffy. Turning it
into a Core::Object allows anyone who needs it to extends its lifetime.

Instead of invoking the HTML parser directly.
|
|
Previously, all Markdown blocks had a virtual parse method which has
been swapped out for a static parse method returning an OwnPtr of
that block's type.
The Text class also now has a static parse method that will return an
Optional<Text>.
|
|
Markdown documents are now obtained via the static Document::parse
method, which returns a RefPtr<Document>, or nullptr on failure.

This widget doesn't just view HTML, it views a web page. :^)

This mimics the Explorer toolbar container from Windows 2000 and looks
pretty neat! :^)
|
|
This makes it show up in Inspector with all the menus inside it. :^)
|
|
This allows us to construct menus in a more natural way:
auto& file_menu = menubar->add_menu("File");
file_menu.add_action(...);
Instead of the old way:
auto file_menu = GUI::Menu::construct();
file_menu->add_action(...);
menubar->add_menu(file_menu);

Let's rename this to LibWeb since it aims to provide more parts of the
web platform than just HTML. :^)

Since the returned object is now owned by the callee object, we can
simply vend a ChildType&. This allows us to use "." instead of "->"
at the call site, which is quite nice. :^)

This patch adds two new API's:
- WidgetType& GUI::Window::set_main_widget<WidgetType>();
This creates a new main widget for a window, assigns it, and returns
it to you as a WidgetType&.
- LayoutType& GUI::Widget::set_layout<LayoutType>();
Same basic idea, creates a new layout, assigns it, and returns it to
you as a LayoutType&.

Now that Vector uses size_t, we can remove a whole bunch of redundant
casts to size_t.

This patch adds <LibCore/Forward.h> and uses it in various places to
shrink the header dependency graph.

Code that just wants to open a Gfx::Bitmap from a file should not be
calling the PNG codec directly.

I started adding things to a Draw namespace, but it somehow felt really
wrong seeing Draw::Rect and Draw::Bitmap, etc. So instead, let's rename
the library to LibGfx. :^)

This took me a moment. Welcome to the new world of GUI::Widget! :^)
|
|
I've been wanting to do this for a long time. It's time we start being
consistent about how this stuff works.
The new convention is:
- "LibFoo" is a userspace library that provides the "Foo" namespace.
That's it :^) This was pretty tedious to convert and I didn't even
start on LibGUI yet. But it's coming up next.

This changes copyright holder to myself for the source code files that I've
created or have (almost) completely rewritten. Not included are the files
that were significantly changed by others even though it was me who originally
created them (think HtmlView), or the many other files I've contributed code to.

As suggested by Joshua, this commit adds the 2-clause BSD license as a
comment block to the top of every source file.
For the first pass, I've just added myself for simplicity. I encourage
everyone to add themselves as copyright holders of any file they've
added or modified in some significant way. If I've added myself in
error somewhere, feel free to replace it with the appropriate copyright
holder instead.
Going forward, all new source files should include a license header.
