2021-01-14target/mips: Remove vendor specific CPU definitionsPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
Vendor specific CPU definitions are not very useful. Use the ISA definitions instead, which are more helpful when looking at the various CPU definitions. 2021-01-14target/mips: Remove CPU_NANOMIPS32 definitionPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé

2020-06-15target/mips: Legalize Loongson insn flagsJiaxun Yang
To match the actual status of Loongson insn, we split flags for LMMI and LEXT from INSN_LOONGSON2F. As Loongson-2F only implemented interger part of LEXT, we'll not enable LEXT for the processor, but instead we're still using INSN_LOONGSON2F as switch flag of these instructions. All multimedia instructions have been moved to LMMI flag. Loongson-2F and Loongson-3A are sharing these instructions. 2020-06-09target/mips: Add Loongson-3 CPU definitionHuacai Chen
Loongson-3 CPU family include Loongson-3A R1/R2/R3/R4 and Loongson-3B R1/R2. Loongson-3A R1 is the oldest and its ISA is the smallest, while Loongson-3A R4 is the newest and its ISA is almost the superset of all others. To reduce complexity, we just define two CPU types: 1) "Loongson-3A1000" CPU which is corresponding to Loongson-3A R1. It is suitable for TCG because Loongson-3A R1 has fewest ASE. 2) "Loongson-3A4000" CPU which is corresponding to Loongson-3A R4. It is suitable for KVM because Loongson-3A R4 has the VZ ASE. Loongson-3A has CONFIG6 and CONFIG7, so add their bit-fields as well. 2019-06-10tcg: Split out target/arch/cpu-param.hRichard Henderson
For all targets, into this new file move TARGET_LONG_BITS, TARGET_PAGE_BITS, TARGET_PHYS_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, and NB_MMU_MODES. Include this new file from exec/cpu-defs.h. This now removes the somewhat odd requirement that target/arch/cpu.h defines TARGET_LONG_BITS before including exec/cpu-defs.h, so push the bulk of the includes within target/arch/cpu.h to the top. 2018-10-24target/mips: Define R5900 ISA, MMI ASE, and R5900 CPU preprocessor constantsFredrik Noring
The R5900 implements the 64-bit MIPS III instruction set except DMULT, DMULTU, DDIV, DDIVU, LL, SC, LLD and SCD. The MIPS IV instructions MOVN, MOVZ and PREF are implemented. It has the R5900-specific three-operand instructions MADD, MADDU, MULT and MULTU as well as pipeline 1 versions MULT1, MULTU1, DIV1, DIVU1, MADD1, MADDU1, MFHI1, MFLO1, MTHI1 and MTLO1. A set of 93 128-bit multimedia instructions specific to the R5900 is also implemented. The Toshiba TX System RISC TX79 Core Architecture manual: https://wiki.qemu.org/File:C790.pdf describes the C790 processor that is a follow-up to the R5900. There are a few notable differences in that the R5900 FPU - is not IEEE 754-1985 compliant, - does not implement double format, and - its machine code is nonstandard. 2017-10-16linux-user: Tidy and enforce reserved_va initializationRichard Henderson
We had a check using TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS to make sure that the allocation coming in from the command-line option was not too large, but that didn't include target-specific knowledge about other restrictions on user-space. Remove several target-specific hacks in linux-user/main.c. For MIPS and Nios, we can replace them with proper adjustments to the respective target's TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS definition. For ARM, we had no existing ifdef but I suspect that the current default value of 0xf7000000 was chosen with this in mind. Define a workable value in linux-user/arm/, and also document why the special case is required. 2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead.
