2015-09-11tlb: Add "ifetch" argument to cpu_mmu_index()Benjamin Herrenschmidt
This is set to true when the index is for an instruction fetch translation. The core get_page_addr_code() sets it, as do the SOFTMMU_CODE_ACCESS acessors. All targets ignore it for now, and all other callers pass "false". This will allow targets who wish to split the mmu index between instruction and data accesses to do so. A subsequent patch will do just that for PowerPC. 2015-01-20exec.c: Drop TARGET_HAS_ICE define and checksPeter Maydell
The TARGET_HAS_ICE #define is intended to indicate whether a target-* guest CPU implementation supports the breakpoint handling. However, all our guest CPUs have that support (the only two which do not define TARGET_HAS_ICE are unicore32 and openrisc, and in both those cases the bp support is present and the lack of the #define is just a bug). So remove the #define entirely: all new guest CPU support should include breakpoint handling as part of the basic implementation. 2014-03-13cpu: Move breakpoints field from CPU_COMMON to CPUStateAndreas Färber
Most targets were using offsetof(CPUFooState, breakpoints) to determine how much of CPUFooState to clear on reset. Use the next field after CPU_COMMON instead, if any, or sizeof(CPUFooState) otherwise. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2014-03-13cpu: Turn cpu_handle_mmu_fault() into a CPUClass hookAndreas Färber
Note that while such functions may exist both for *-user and softmmu, only *-user uses the CPUState hook, while softmmu reuses the prototype for calling it directly. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>

The functions cpu_clone_regs() and cpu_set_tls() are not purely CPU related -- they are specific to the TLS ABI for a a particular OS. 2009-08-24cleanup cpu-exec.c, part 0/N: consolidate handle_cpu_signalNathan Froyd
handle_cpu_signal is very nearly copy-paste code for each target, with a few minor variations. This patch sets up appropriate defaults for a generic handle_cpu_signal and provides overrides for particular targets that did things differently. Fixing things like the persistent (XXX: use sigsetjmp) should now become somewhat easier. Previous comments on this patch suggest that the "activate soft MMU for this block" comments refer to defunct functionality. I have removed such blocks for the appropriate targets in this patch. This patch refactors the way the CPU state is handled that is associated with a TB. The basic motivation is to move more arch specific code out of generic files.
