2016-05-26migration: delete QEMUSizedBuffer structDaniel P. Berrange
Now that we don't have have a buffer based QemuFile implementation, the QEMUSizedBuffer code is also unused and can be deleted. A simpler buffer class also exists in util/buffer.c which other code can used as needed. Reviewed-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel P. 2016-05-26migration: delete QEMUFile buffer implementationDaniel P. Berrange
The qemu_bufopen() method is no longer used, so the memory buffer based QEMUFile backend can be deleted entirely. Reviewed-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel P. 2016-01-29migration: Clean up includesPeter Maydell
Clean up includes so that osdep.h is included first and headers which it implies are not included manually. This commit was created with scripts/clean-includes. Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Message-id: 1453832250-766-2-git-send-email-peter.maydell@linaro.org
2015-10-20coroutine: move into libqemuutil.a libraryDaniel P. Berrange
The coroutine files are currently referenced by the block-obj-y variable. The coroutine functionality though is already used by more than just the block code. eg migration code uses coroutine yield. In the future the I/O channel code will also use the coroutine yield functionality. Since the coroutine code is nicely self-contained it can be easily built as part of the libqemuutil.a library, making it widely available. The headers are also moved into include/qemu, instead of the include/block directory, since they are now part of the util codebase, and the impl was never in the block/ directory either. 2015-09-29migration: Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious senseMarkus Armbruster
g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n). It's also safer, for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t. Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch more type errors. This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form sizeof(T). Same Coccinelle semantic patch as in commit b45c03f. 2015-09-29migration: size_t'ify some of qemu-fileDr. David Alan Gilbert
This is a start on using size_t more in qemu-file and friends; it fixes up QEMUFilePutBufferFunc and QEMUFileGetBufferFunc to take size_t lengths and return ssize_t return values (like read(2)) and fixes up all the different implementations of them. Note that I've not yet followed this deeply into bdrv_ implementations. 2015-01-16QEMUSizedBuffer: only free qsb that qemu_bufopen allocatedYang Hongyang
Only free qsb that qemu_bufopen allocated, and also allow qemu_bufopen accept qsb as input for write operation. It will make the API more logical: 1.If you create the QEMUSizedBuffer yourself, you need to free it by using qsb_free() but not depends on other API like qemu_fclose. 2.allow qemu_bufopen() accept QEMUSizedBuffer as input for write operation, otherwise, it will be a little strange for this API won't accept the second parameter. This brings API change, since there are only 3 users of this API currently, this change only impact the first one which will be fixed in patch 2 of this patchset, so I think it is safe to do this change. 1 70 tests/test-vmstate.c <<open_mem_file_read>> return qemu_bufopen("r", qsb); 2 404 tests/test-vmstate.c <<test_save_noskip>> QEMUFile *fsave = qemu_bufopen("w", NULL); 3 424 tests/test-vmstate.c <<test_save_skip>> QEMUFile *fsave = qemu_bufopen("w", NULL); Signed-off-by: Yang Hongyang <yanghy@cn.fujitsu.com> Cc: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Cc: Juan Quintela <quintela@redhat.com> Cc: Amit Shah <amit.shah@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Amit Shah <amit.shah@redhat.com>
