2021-01-25tpm: tpm_spapr: Remove unused tracepointRoman Bolshakov
Linking of qemu-system-ppc64 fails on macOS with dtrace enabled: error: probe tpm_spapr_show_buffer doesn't exist error: Could not register probes ld: error creating dtrace DOF section for architecture x86_64 The failure is explained in 8c8ed03850208e4 ("net/colo: Match is-enabled probe to tracepoint"). In short, is-enabled probe can't be used without a matching trace probe. And for this particular case tpm_util_show_buffer probe should be enabled to print TPM buffer. 2020-09-09trace-events: Fix attribution of trace points to sourceMarkus Armbruster
Some trace points are attributed to the wrong source file. Happens when we neglect to update trace-events for code motion, or add events in the wrong place, or misspell the file name. Clean up with help of scripts/cleanup-trace-events.pl. Funnies requiring manual post-processing: * accel/tcg/cputlb.c trace points are in trace-events. * block.c and blockdev.c trace points are in block/trace-events. * hw/block/nvme.c uses the preprocessor to hide its trace point use from cleanup-trace-events.pl. * hw/tpm/tpm_spapr.c uses pseudo trace point tpm_spapr_show_buffer to guard debug code. * include/hw/xen/xen_common.h trace points are in hw/xen/trace-events. * linux-user/trace-events abbreviates a tedious list of filenames to */signal.c. * net/colo-compare and net/filter-rewriter.c use pseudo trace points colo_compare_miscompare and colo_filter_rewriter_debug to guard debug code. 2020-06-19tpm: Move backend code under the 'backends/' directoryPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
TPM subsytem is split into backends (see commit f4ede81eed2) and frontends (see i.e. 3676bc69b35). Keep the emulated hardware 'frontends' under hw/tpm/, but move the backends in the backends/tpm/ directory. 2020-02-02tpm_spapr: Support TPM for ppc64 using CRQ based interfaceStefan Berger
Implement support for TPM on ppc64 by implementing the vTPM CRQ interface as a frontend. It can use the tpm_emulator driver backend with the external swtpm. The Linux vTPM driver for ppc64 works with this emulation. This TPM emulator also handles the TPM 2 case. 2019-08-16trace: Eliminate use of TARGET_FMT_plxMarkus Armbruster
hw/tpm/trace-events uses TARGET_FMT_plx formats with uint64_t arguments. That's wrong, TARGET_FMT_plx takes hwaddr. Since hwaddr happens to be uint64_t, it works anyway. Messed up in commit ec427498da5, v2.12.0. Clean up by replacing TARGET_FMT_plx with its macro expansion. scripts/tracetool/format/log_stap.py (commit 62dd1048c0b, v4.0.0) has a special case for TARGET_FMT_plx. Delete it. 2019-03-22trace-events: Shorten file names in commentsMarkus Armbruster
We spell out sub/dir/ in sub/dir/trace-events' comments pointing to source files. That's because when trace-events got split up, the comments were moved verbatim. Delete the sub/dir/ part from these comments. Gets rid of several misspellings. 2019-02-24tpm_tis: convert tpm_tis_show_buffer() to use trace eventLiam Merwick
cppcheck reports: [hw/tpm/tpm_tis.c:113]: (warning) %d in format string (no. 2) requires 'int' but the argument type is 'unsigned int' Rather than just converting the format specifier to use '%u", the tpm_tis_show_buffer() function is converted to use trace points and the two debug callers use the trace event infrastructure so that it's available in production cases also and not just when DEBUG_TIS is enabled. 2019-01-17tpm: clear RAM when "memory overwrite" requestedMarc-André Lureau
Note: the "Platform Reset Attack Mitigation" specification isn't explicit about NVDIMM, since they could have different usages. It uses the term "system memory" generally (and also "volatile memory RAM" in its introduction). For initial support, I propose to consider non-volatile memory as not being subject to the memory clear. There is an on-going discussion in the TCG "pcclientwg" working group for future revisions. CPU cache clearing is done unconditionally in edk2 since commit d20ae95a13e851 (edk2-stable201811). 2018-05-24tpm: extend TPM TIS with state migration supportStefan Berger
Extend the TPM TIS interface with state migration support. We need to synchronize with the backend thread to make sure that a command being processed by the external TPM emulator has completed and its response been received. 2018-05-24tpm: extend TPM emulator with state migration supportStefan Berger
Extend the TPM emulator backend device with state migration support. The external TPM emulator 'swtpm' provides a protocol over its control channel to retrieve its state blobs. We implement functions for getting and setting the different state blobs. In case the setting of the state blobs fails, we return a negative errno code to fail the start of the VM. Since we have an external TPM emulator, we need to make sure that we do not migrate the state for as long as it is busy processing a request. We need to wait for notification that the request has completed processing.
