2021-09-30ide: Rename ide_bus_new() to ide_bus_init()Peter Maydell
The function ide_bus_new() does an in-place initialization. Rename it to ide_bus_init() to follow our _init vs _new convention. 2020-09-09Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. 2020-03-27hw/ide/sii3112: Use qdev gpio rather than qemu_allocate_irqs()Peter Maydell
Coverity points out (CID 1421984) that we are leaking the memory returned by qemu_allocate_irqs(). We can avoid this leak by switching to using qdev_init_gpio_in(); the base class finalize will free the irqs that this allocates under the hood. 2019-10-15hw/ide/sii3112: Convert reset handler to DeviceResetPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
The SiI3112A SATA controller is a PCI device, it will be reset when the PCI bus it stands on is reset. Convert its reset handler into a proper Device reset method. 2019-08-16Include sysemu/reset.h a lot lessMarkus Armbruster
In my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/reset.h triggers a recompile of some 2600 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). The main culprit is hw/hw.h, which supposedly includes it for convenience. Include sysemu/reset.h only where it's needed. Touching it now recompiles less than 200 objects. 2019-01-25sii3112: Remove duplicated code and use PCI IDE ops insteadBALATON Zoltan
Parts of the SiI3112 mmio are identical to PCI IDE registers so we can use the corresponding functions that were factored out into ide/pci.c. This removes code duplication and simplifies the SiI3112 model which also helped to spot a copy paste error where reading status of the 2nd channel read the 1st channel instead. This is also fixed here. 2018-03-18sii3112: Remove unneeded exit functionBALATON Zoltan
An exit function was mistakenly left here but it's not needed because the PCI bars are organised differently in this device. Calling this exit function during device_del was causing an abort with memory_region_del_subregion: `Assertion subregion->container == mr' failed. 2018-02-09Use #include "..." for our own headers, <...> for othersMarkus Armbruster
System headers should be included with <...>, our own headers with "...". Offenders tracked down with an ugly, brittle and probably buggy Perl script. Previous iteration was commit a9c94277f0. Delete inclusions of "string.h" and "strings.h" instead of fixing them to <string.h> and <strings.h>, because we always include these via osdep.h. Put the cleaned up system header includes first. While there, separate #include from file comment with exactly one blank line.
